WE WILL BE HAVING SKATING FOR THE 2020/2021 YEAR UNDER NEW COVID-19 GUIDELINES!
REGISTRATION HAS NOW BEEN UPLOADED!
We are now offering Parent/Tot Skating lessons! Skaters age 3 - 4 with no previous skating experience can now learn the basics of skating with assistance from a family member or friend! Because we can't touch the skaters, a parent/guardian must join the skater to be their helper while they learn the basics! This guardian does not need to be a minimum age, but they must have passed at least Stage 5 of Canskate and wear a mask while assisting the skater.
This will be offered on Mondays (6:30 - 7:15) or Wednesdays (5:00 - 5:45) from October 14, 2020 to December 16, 2020.
We are limited to 12 skaters per day, so it will be based on a first come first served with payment necessary to secure the spot.
Registration forms are on the website and can be sent to our email at [email protected]
CHANGE TO SKATING SESSIONS IN THE CURRENT YEAR: Precanskate is currently not being offered due to COVID restrictions from Skate Canada. Our Precanskate program is for skaters aged 3 - 5 to learn the very basics of skating. At this time, this program is not offered, therefore all skaters registered must be able to stand up on their own and skate independently to prevent contact between coaches and skaters. If your child cannot skate on their own (stand up and walk across the ice without any assistance), we ask that you do not register your skater at this time. We will be offering another session from January 2021 - March 2021 with the hopes that these restrictions will be lifted by then. If we have your skater on the ice and we find that they are unable to skate unassisted, we unfortunately will have to request that they leave in order to keep all skaters, coaches and volunteers safe. This is a requirement by Skate Canada and not a choice of the club. We apologize for any inconvenience, and hope that we can offer the Precanskate Program in the spring (with updated registration forms).
